Learn: Cloud Seminars
Cloud Seminars Day is an all-day event and is an opportunity for you all to start your learning journey and attend 1 hour to 45 minutes lecture style sessions on different services built into the Microsoft Azure. The sessions will introduce and discuss various common IT professional and Developer scenarios, including setting up virtual machines and administering them to developing cloud apps and managing them. You will have the option to attend only one of the sessions or pick and choose the ones you want or attend all the sessions. We do require that you register separately for each session to reserve your place for that particular seminar session.
Refreshments and snacks will be served all day long along with an opportunity to discuss to Cloud careers and submitting your resume to Microsoft

Matt Sauri is a business leader, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and athlete. As the CEO of Wimmer Solutions he takes great pride in having

Matt was a standout college lacrosse player at St. Mary's College in Maryland, where he earned his B.A. in English; he continues today to play and promote the sport, and serves on the board of the Washington chapter of U.S. Lacrosse. Matt is the father of three and lives in Seattle. In his leisure time, he enjoys skiing, boating, and traveling.
Matthew Kerner studied Computer Science at Yale University and joined Microsoft in 2001 right out of college as a Program Manager in Windows. He completed a part-time MS in Computer Science & Engineering at the UW while working for Microsoft, and he spent a year working for Microsoft in Tel-Aviv, Israel, in a Hebrew-language workplace. He joined Azure in 2009 where he worked first on the Fabric Controller, the kernel of the Azure distributed operating system. Matthew then drove engineering and operational capabilities for Azure in China. He now pursues several long-term bets across Azure teams, such as the adoption of new datacenter designs, new resiliency capabilities and Azure integration with Office 365. Matthew lives in Seattle with his wife and daughter. He likes to run, play boardgames and watch movies.
Thuy Le works as a Program Manager on the Azure Customer Advisory Team (Azure CAT) with almost 10 years at Microsoft. Thuy has a singular passion of bringing best of Microsoft to our customers. She works with many of our largest enterprise customers on their transformation journeys to the cloud. She leveraged her technical background to architect impactful solutions, and just as important, she relied on her negotiation and program management skills to deliver those unpleasant conversations. Her measure of success is the solution adoption rate months and years after the engagement completion. Prior to Microsoft, Thuy founded Beyond Baseline, a consultancy specializing in Change Management and the adoption of the Microsoft productivity platform. As a Redmond transplant, she spends her weekends exploring the area with her husband and their 2 young girls.
Fawad Khan has been in the IT field for about 25 years with a diverse set of experience. With 10 years out of those in Microsoft, he has spent majority of that time in Cloud services. He has held various IT certifications including MCT and has been teaching on the side for almost 15 years. He holds Bachelor degrees in Electrical Engineering and Physics along with Master degrees in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology & Management. He enjoys teaching, coaching, mentoring and helping others succeed. He has two young kids who keep him busy and think of him as a big toy. He loves running/jogging and listening to motivation, business and communication books.
Aaron Bosley is a Principle Program Manager on the Azure Customer Advisory Team (CAT) within the Cloud and Enterprise group at Microsoft. As a CAT team member, he helps Microsoft’s customers and partners get the most out of their investment in Azure, helping to ensure that they build cloud-based solutions right the first time. Aaron’s background is in large, complex solution development and he has worked in the software industry for over 20 years. He can be found tweeting about all things cloud related on twitter as @boz. Ali Siddiqui is a Principal Software Engineer in Azure at Microsoft. He has been building large scale, distributed systems in public and private clouds for over 15 years now. He is passionate about solving hard engineering problems using software and mathematics. Ali is a co-inventor on 13 patents. He holds Bachelors in Computer Science from Karachi University and Masters in Software Management from Carnegie Mellon University. He is on LinkedIn.
Cindy Gross of Microsoft AzureCAT leads customers through Azure-based Big Data engagements. She helps customers solve business problems with E2E solutions that include distributed data processing, Hadoop, HDInsight, Spark, Azure Data Lake, & the Internet of Things on Azure. Cindy is a SQL Server Microsoft Certified Master who loves to share knowledge through presentations, technical articles & blogs.
Ellen Osborne is a Program Manager on the Azure IoT Team at Microsoft. She graduated from Harvard College with a BA in computer science. She began her career at Microsoft as a firmware developer working on telepresence robots. She transitioned to Skype for Business where she worked as both a developer and program manager. Recently, she joined the Azure IoT Team where she focuses on device management.
Abdullah Zaib is a Software Engineer in Azure Active Directory at Microsoft. He is passionate about computer science and providing simple and elegant solutions to hard and complex engineering problems. He graduated in Computer Science from FAST-NU, Lahore as a valedictorian and gold medalist. He is on LinkedIn
